Mohamed Alawadhi
Mohamed Alawadhi’s journey in the world of Model United Nations began in the 11th grade, where he quickly developed a passion for diplomacy, critical thinking, and public speaking. Recognizing the need for more opportunities in this field, he co-founded the Debate Club at the University of Dubai alongside his friend Tariq Hindash. Their goal was to provide students with greater access to national and international conferences, fostering a culture of debate and global awareness.
Through their dedication, the Debate Club achieved a historic milestone—becoming the first student group to be fully sponsored by the University of Dubai to attend an international conference. Mohamed’s skills and leadership shone through, earning him the prestigious Best Delegate award.
Building on this success, Mohamed and Tariq took their vision to the next level by founding UDMUN (University of Dubai Model United Nations). What started as an ambitious initiative quickly grew into a highly successful and respected conference, bringing together students from diverse backgrounds to engage in meaningful discussions on global issues.
Even after graduating from the University of Dubai in 2022, Mohamed remains deeply involved in supporting the organization of UDMUN, ensuring its continued growth and impact. His message to all delegates is simple yet powerful: embrace the challenge, never fear heated debates, and let every discussion be a step toward becoming a stronger leader.
